In 2010, we assisted the City in re-negotiating its exclusive franchise agreement with Allied Waste Industries, Inc. The City is unique in that it is exclusively residential with large lots. Its residents receive premium backyard service twice per week. Our work included estimating the company’s operating costs, gathering rate and service information from comparable communities, developing a negotiating strategy, drafting a new franchise agreement, and assisting City staff in negotiating a new agreement with Allied.
